# Connect AI agents to the Pulse Verity MCP server

The Pulse Verity MCP connector routes your AI agent's tool calls to Pulse Verity's own MCP server through Scalekit. Each user signs in to Pulse Verity once, and Scalekit stores and refreshes their tokens, so your agent never handles credentials. It comes with 9 tools.

**Authentication:** OAuth 2.1/DCR
**Categories:** Accounting & Finance, Analytics
**Tools:** 9: 8 read, 1 write, 0 destructive
**Users sign in with:** OAuth
**OAuth app:** Scalekit's or your own
**Built by:** Vendor MCP
**Try it:** [Playground in the Scalekit dashboard](https://app.scalekit.com/ws/signup?sk_intent=playground&provider=PULSEVERITYMCP)

## Setup

1. ### Install the SDK

   **Node.js**

   ```bash
   npm install @scalekit-sdk/node dotenv
   ```

   **Python**

   ```bash
   pip install scalekit-sdk-python python-dotenv
   ```

2. ### Set your credentials

   Add your Scalekit credentials to your `.env` file. Find values in **[app.scalekit.com](https://app.scalekit.com)** > **Developers** > **API Credentials**.

   ```sh title=".env"
   SCALEKIT_ENVIRONMENT_URL=<your-environment-url>
   SCALEKIT_CLIENT_ID=<your-client-id>
   SCALEKIT_CLIENT_SECRET=<your-client-secret>
   ```

3. ### Create the Pulse Verity MCP connection

   In **AgentKit > Connections**, create a Pulse Verity MCP connection. The name you give it is the `connection_name` your code passes. See [Configure connections](/agentkit/connections/).

   Scalekit credentials are available for Pulse Verity MCP server, so you don't need to register an OAuth app.

4. ### Authorize a user and make your first call

   **Node.js** (`quickstart.mts`)

   ```typescript
   import { ScalekitClient } from '@scalekit-sdk/node'
   import 'dotenv/config'
   import { createInterface } from 'node:readline/promises'
   const scalekit = new ScalekitClient(
     process.env.SCALEKIT_ENVIRONMENT_URL,
     process.env.SCALEKIT_CLIENT_ID,
     process.env.SCALEKIT_CLIENT_SECRET,
   )
   const actions = scalekit.actions
   const connector = 'pulseveritymcp'
   const identifier = 'user_123'
   // Generate an authorization link for the user
   const { link } = await actions.getAuthorizationLink({ connectionName: connector, identifier })
   console.log('Authorize Pulse Verity MCP:', link)
   const rl = createInterface({ input: process.stdin, output: process.stdout })
   await rl.question('Press Enter after authorizing...')
   rl.close()
   // Make your first call
   const result = await actions.executeTool({
     connector,
     identifier,
     toolName: 'pulseveritymcp_get_account_status',
     toolInput: {},
   })
   console.log(result)
   ```

   ```bash
   npx tsx quickstart.mts
   ```

   **Python** (`quickstart.py`)

   ```python
   import os
   from scalekit import ScalekitClient
   from dotenv import load_dotenv
   load_dotenv()
   scalekit_client = ScalekitClient(
       env_url=os.getenv("SCALEKIT_ENVIRONMENT_URL"),
       client_id=os.getenv("SCALEKIT_CLIENT_ID"),
       client_secret=os.getenv("SCALEKIT_CLIENT_SECRET"),
   )
   actions = scalekit_client.actions
   connection_name = "pulseveritymcp"
   identifier = "user_123"
   # Generate an authorization link for the user
   link_response = actions.get_authorization_link(
       connection_name=connection_name,
       identifier=identifier,
   )
   print("Authorize Pulse Verity MCP:", link_response.link)
   input("Press Enter after authorizing...")
   # Make your first call
   result = actions.execute_tool(
       tool_input={},
       tool_name="pulseveritymcp_get_account_status",
       connection_name=connection_name,
       identifier=identifier,
   )
   print(result)
   ```

   ```bash
   python quickstart.py
   ```

   Each user signs in once. See [Authorize a user](/agentkit/tools/authorize/) for the full flow and statuses.

## Tools

Pass the exact name to `execute_tool`, with an input like each tool's example. To ask for a tool that's missing, use the [request form](https://scalekitsupport.portal.usepylon.com/forms/request-a-connector-tool).

**Node.js**

```typescript
const result = await actions.executeTool({
  toolName: 'pulseveritymcp_get_account_status',
  toolInput: {},
  connector: 'pulseveritymcp',
  identifier: 'user_123',
})
```

**Python**

```python
result = actions.execute_tool(
    tool_name="pulseveritymcp_get_account_status",
    tool_input={},
    connection_name="pulseveritymcp",
    identifier="user_123",
)
```

`result.data` is the app's response as JSON, and `result.execution_id` (`executionId` in Node.js) is the ID of the call.

### `pulseveritymcp_get_account_status`

Get Pulse Verity Account Status · Read-only

Read this connection's Pulse Verity plan and usage from /api/index/v1/account: plan, used (calls counted this UTC month), limit, remaining, resetAt, perMinute, batchMaxSymbols, capacityAction and upgradeUrl (the plans page). The monthly allowance is account-wide: every key and connected app on the account shares it. perMinute applies to each key. This call does not count toward the allowance.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): yes.

Inputs: none.

Example input: `{}`

### `pulseveritymcp_get_index_batch`

Get Pulse Verity Index Batch · Read-only

Read signed prices for up to 100 symbols per request; this account's plan may allow fewer (get_account_status reports batchMaxSymbols). One /api/index/v1/batch request returns observations with individually signed successful rows and per-symbol errors for unavailable rows. A request over the plan's limit is refused with code TOO_MANY_SYMBOLS: split it. Verify each successful row with verify_print; the v2 block on each row signs its quality fields, while the surrounding batch metadata is not signed. No automatic retries.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): no.

Inputs:

- `symbols` (`array`, required): No description.

Example input: `{"symbols":[]}`

### `pulseveritymcp_get_index_history`

Get Pulse Verity Index History · Read-only

Read price history for one crypto symbol from /api/index/v1/history: candles (open, high, low, close) at 1m, 5m, 1h or 1d, with period metrics and pagination. dataset=verified (default) is built from prints Pulse signed live; reconstructed is rebuilt history at 1h or 1d and was not signed at the historical time. The account's plan sets whether history is included and how far back a request reaches: rangeClamped says the window was shortened, and historyLimit names the plan when the plan did it. Each call counts as one API call. For the next page pass pagination.nextCursor as cursor with the same symbol, dataset and interval. Signed rows (verifiedObservations) are returned only with includeSignedRows=true; each verifies with verify_print. Candles and metrics are not signed. An empty page means no recorded history in that window, never a zero price.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): yes.

Inputs:

- `symbol` (`string`, required): Crypto ticker symbol, e.g. BTC
- `assetId` (`string`, optional): Canonical asset id, when a ticker names more than one asset.
- `cursor` (`string`, optional): pagination.nextCursor from the previous page, unchanged.
- `dataset` (`string`, optional): verified (default): built from prints Pulse signed live. reconstructed: rebuilt hourly and daily history, not signed at the historical time; interval 1h or 1d only. One of: `verified`, `reconstructed`.
- `from` (`string`, optional): Start, ISO-8601 or epoch milliseconds (13 digits); 30 days before `to` when omitted. The plan may shorten it.
- `includeSignedRows` (`boolean`, optional): Include verifiedObservations, each a signed row verify_print checks (verified dataset only). Off by default to keep pages small.
- `interval` (`string`, optional): Candle width; 1h when omitted. One of: `1m`, `5m`, `1h`, `1d`.
- `limit` (`integer`, optional): Underlying points per page, 1 to 1000; 500 when omitted.
- `to` (`string`, optional): End, ISO-8601 or epoch milliseconds (13 digits); now when omitted.

Example input: `{"symbol":"<symbol>"}`

### `pulseveritymcp_get_index_price`

Get Pulse Verity Index Price · Read-only

Get a current signed crypto index price from /api/index/v1/price. Returns symbol, price, optional priceText, at, grade, signature, kid and sig. Preserve priceText exactly for verify_print. Optional tier, confidence, dispersionBps, interval, sources, engine and cadence describe the observation; they are not covered by the v1 signature, and the v2 block signs them with the price. Pass the whole print, v2 included, to verify_print. Coverage changes: use list_index_assets to discover assets. A stale or unavailable response means no current price, never zero.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): no.

Inputs:

- `symbol` (`string`, required): Crypto ticker symbol, e.g. BTC, ETH, SOL

Example input: `{"symbol":"<symbol>"}`

### `pulseveritymcp_get_recorded_print`

Get Recorded Print · Read-only

Get the recorded signed index print nearest a requested time from /api/index/v1/print. Accepts ISO-8601 or epoch milliseconds. Check deltaMs: it is the distance between your requested time and the sampled print. Sampling and retention are bounded; a recorded print need not equal a separate live read. qualityRecorded says whether its quality fields were stored when it was recorded (prints from 1 Oct 2026). Preserve priceText, kid and the v2 block when present for verify_print. deltaMs is not signed. Formerly named get_settlement_print; calls under that name still work.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): yes.

Inputs:

- `at` (`string`, required): No description.
- `symbol` (`string`, required): Crypto ticker symbol, e.g. BTC, ETH, SOL

Example input: `{"at":"<at>","symbol":"<symbol>"}`

### `pulseveritymcp_get_upgrade_options`

Get Pulse Verity Upgrade Options · Read-only

List the Pulse Verity plans with their limits and prices, and the prepaid call packs and extra stream connections while each is on sale, each with a portal link. Read-only; does not count toward the allowance. The current plan is marked when the account is on that plan's terms (currentPlan shows the account's own limits either way), and when a recent plan refusal is known (or reason is given) the smallest plan, add-on or pack that fixes it is recommended. A link opens the portal, which shows the item, price and terms; the account holder completes payment on Stripe. Nothing is bought by this tool or by opening a link.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): yes.

Inputs:

- `dataset` (`string`, optional): For HISTORY_WINDOW: the history dataset that was shortened; verified (the get_index_history default) when omitted. One of: `verified`, `reconstructed`.
- `feature` (`string`, optional): For RESEARCH_NOT_INCLUDED: history when get_index_history was refused, research-tools for compare or metadata; when omitted, the plan that includes both. One of: `history`, `research-tools`.
- `reason` (`string`, optional): A refusal code this connection received, e.g. TOO_MANY_SYMBOLS or MONTHLY_LIMIT, when it is not the most recent one. One of: `MONTHLY_LIMIT`, `RATE_LIMITED`, `TOO_MANY_SYMBOLS`, `BATCH_TOO_LARGE`, `RESEARCH_NOT_INCLUDED`, `SYMBOL_LIMIT`, `SOURCE_HEALTH_NOT_INCLUDED`, `WEBHOOKS_NOT_INCLUDED`, `STREAM_NOT_INCLUDED`, `CONNECTION_LIMIT`, `KEY_LIMIT`, `HISTORY_WINDOW`.

Example input: `{}`

### `pulseveritymcp_list_index_assets`

List Pulse Verity Index Assets · Read-only

Read one bounded page from /api/index/v1/verity/catalog. Discover crypto symbols and their current coverage status and measured cadence. Catalog rows, prices and metadata are unsigned: use get_index_price or get_index_batch for signed receipts. Availability changes; total is a catalog count, not a count of fresh prices. No automatic pagination.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): no.

Inputs:

- `band` (`string`, optional): No description. One of: `real-time`, `five-second`, `ten-second`, `slow`, `unavailable`.
- `limit` (`integer`, optional): Rows per page, 1 to 100; 50 when omitted. A plan may return fewer: use count and offset.
- `offset` (`integer`, optional): No description. Default: `0`.
- `status` (`string`, optional): No description. One of: `consensus`, `blended`, `indicative`, `insufficient-coverage`, `venue-disagreement`, `unconvertible-quote`, `stale`, `kernel-rejected`.

Example input: `{}`

### `pulseveritymcp_verify_print`

Verify a Signed Print · Read-only

Verify a signed print locally with ECDSA P-256/SHA-256. Canonical bytes are pulse-index-v1\n<symbol>\n<priceText or String(price)>\n<at>\n<grade>. The public key ring is read from /api/index/v1/pubkey, cached for five minutes and refreshed at most once per 30 seconds on a failed check. A supplied kid selects only that exact key; old prints without kid are tried against the bounded published ring. valid=true authenticates only the canonical price fields, not kid, sig, quality, cadence, timestamps outside at, or other metadata. When the print carries a v2 block (pulse-index-v2), it is verified too: v2.valid=true means the signature over v2.canonical is valid AND every signed line (sources, tier, confidence, dispersionBps, interval, cadence, engine, price and the rest) matches the supplied fields; v2.signedFields are the signed values and v2.mismatches names any field that differs. recordValid=true and verificationScope=full-record require BOTH price and complete v2 record verification. metadataSigned equals recordValid. Require recordValid before trusting quality fields. A v1-only print has scope price-only, never verified metadata. Neither signature proves freshness or settlement suitability; indicative data must not be used for settlement. An invalid signature can mean an altered print or a key no longer published; it does not by itself prove tampering.

Read only: yes. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): yes.

Inputs:

- `at` (`string`, required): Timestamp from the print, unchanged
- `grade` (`string`, required): No description.
- `price` (`string`, required): No description.
- `signature` (`string`, required): ECDSA P-256 signature in base64
- `symbol` (`string`, required): Crypto ticker symbol, e.g. BTC, ETH, SOL
- `assetId` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `cadence` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `closeDay` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `confidence` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `dispersionBps` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `engine` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `interval` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `kid` (`string`, optional): Signing key identifier, when provided by the API
- `kind` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `priceText` (`string`, optional): Exact signed price text, when provided by the API; preserve unchanged
- `sig` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `sources` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `tier` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `v2` (`object`, optional): The v2 block from the print, unchanged: it signs the whole record, quality fields included

Example input: `{"at":"<at>","grade":"<grade>","price":"<price>","signature":"<signature>","symbol":"<symbol>"}`

### `pulseveritymcp_submit_verity_feedback`

Submit Verity Feedback · Write

Write one structured bug, missing capability, or data quality report for private human triage. Only submit when the user requests reporting; do not include keys, passwords, transcripts or attachments. For a price problem, add quote: the price, at and source exactly as you received them, and grade, signature and kid from the print when you have it; with a signature the server checks the quote against Verity's published keys, so triage can tell a real Verity print from an altered or foreign one. Returns a durable receipt and duplicate flag, not a promise of a fix. No code or production behavior changes automatically. Status is available with the same account at GET /api/index/v1/feedback/<id>.

Read only: no. Destructive: no. Idempotent (safe to retry): no.

Inputs:

- `actual` (`string`, required): No description.
- `category` (`string`, required): No description. One of: `bug`, `missing_capability`, `data_quality`.
- `expected` (`string`, required): No description.
- `reproduction` (`array`, required): No description.
- `surface` (`string`, required): No description. One of: `get_index_price`, `get_index_batch`, `list_index_assets`, `get_recorded_print`, `get_settlement_print`, `verify_print`, `/api/index/v1/price`, `/api/index/v1/batch`, `/api/index/v1/print`, `/api/index/v1/verity/catalog`, `/api/index/v1/pubkey`, `/api/index/v1/sample`, `/api/index/v1/history`, `/api/index/v1/metadata`, `/api/index/v1/research/compare`, `/api/index/v1/source-health`, `/api/index/v1/verity/price`, `/api/index/v1/verity/batch`, `/api/index/mcp`.
- `observedAt` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `quote` (`object`, optional): No description.
- `requestId` (`string`, optional): No description.
- `symbol` (`string`, optional): No description.

Example input: `{"actual":"<actual>","category":"bug","expected":"<expected>","reproduction":[],"surface":"get_index_price"}`
