Connect AI agents to Jiminny

Scalekit connector
Open markdown

The Jiminny connector lets your AI agent act in each user's Jiminny account. Each user connects their own Jiminny access token once, and Scalekit sends it with every call, so your agent never handles credentials. It comes with 27 tools.

What you can do

  • Review calls and meetings: list recorded activities by date and get participants, CRM data, and topic matches
  • Read conversation insights: fetch transcripts, AI summaries, action items, and questions asked during a call
  • Track call scoring: pull AI scorecards, automated call scores, and coaching feedback for reps over a date range
  • Upload recordings: send a call or meeting recording as a file or public URL for transcription and analysis
  • Monitor team engagement: see who listened to or commented on calls, and list team users and topic triggers
  • Manage webhooks: create, list, and delete webhook subscriptions, and preview sample payloads for each trigger

Setup

  1. Install the SDK

    Terminal window
    npm install @scalekit-sdk/node dotenv
  2. Set your credentials

    Add your Scalekit credentials to your .env file. Find values in app.scalekit.com > Developers > API Credentials.

    .env
    SCALEKIT_ENVIRONMENT_URL=<your-environment-url>
    SCALEKIT_CLIENT_ID=<your-client-id>
    SCALEKIT_CLIENT_SECRET=<your-client-secret>
  3. Create the Jiminny connection

    In AgentKit > Connections, create a Jiminny connection. The name you give it is the connection_name your code passes. See Configure connections.

    Register your Jiminny API key with Scalekit so it can authenticate requests to Jiminny’s conversation intelligence API on your behalf. You’ll need an API key from your Jiminny organisation settings.

    1. Generate an API key in Jiminny

      • Sign in to Jiminny and navigate to Organisation Settings → General.

      • Scroll to the API Key section and click Generate API Key.

      • Click Copy to copy the key to your clipboard. Store it securely — you can regenerate it later, but doing so invalidates the previous key and breaks existing integrations.

    2. Create a connection in Scalekit

      In Scalekit dashboard, go to AgentKit > Connections > Create Connection. Find Jiminny and click Create.

    3. Add a connected account

      Open the connection you just created and click the Connected Accounts tab → Add account. Fill in the required fields:

      • Your User’s ID — a unique identifier for the user in your system
      • Bearer Token — the API key you copied in step 1

      Add connected account modal with Your User's ID and Bearer Token fields

      Click Save.

  4. Authorize a user and make your first call

    quickstart.mts
    import { ScalekitClient } from '@scalekit-sdk/node'
    import 'dotenv/config'
    import { createInterface } from 'node:readline/promises'
    const scalekit = new ScalekitClient(
    process.env.SCALEKIT_ENVIRONMENT_URL,
    process.env.SCALEKIT_CLIENT_ID,
    process.env.SCALEKIT_CLIENT_SECRET,
    )
    const actions = scalekit.actions
    const connector = 'jiminny'
    const identifier = 'user_123'
    // Generate an authorization link for the user
    const { link } = await actions.getAuthorizationLink({ connectionName: connector, identifier })
    console.log('Authorize Jiminny:', link)
    const rl = createInterface({ input: process.stdin, output: process.stdout })
    await rl.question('Press Enter after authorizing...')
    rl.close()
    // Make your first call
    const result = await actions.executeTool({
    connector,
    identifier,
    toolName: 'jiminny_activities_list',
    toolInput: {},
    })
    console.log(result)
    Terminal window
    npx tsx quickstart.mts

    Each user opens the link once and enters their Jiminny credentials there. If your app already has a user's credentials, add the account from your backend instead, as the console steps above show. See Authorize a user for the full flow and statuses.
